I just hate this phone. My husband and I both have one and while mine seems to be the worst, both are bad. I can never hear people on my phone. Sometimes it will start out ringing at a normal sound level, but within seconds after the person starts to speak, they just fade away. Doesn't matter where I am - people can't stand it when I call them on this phone because I'm always shouting - I can't hear you. When people call me, it doesn't even ring half the time. Very frustrating. This is my 3rd tracfone phone and neither have been good phones. Doesn't tracfone have any normal, decent phones?? Also - haven't figured out how to delete an old phone number from my address book?? Lastly, doesn't hold a charge very long. Just a bad phone from day 1.

The Motorola V170 cell phone is like a pretty face with a bad personality. Don't judge this book by the cover. The caller often sounds like they are speaking Martian or something. The volume only goes as high as level 7, and it's hard to determine any volume change from level 3 on up. I would not recommend this model, I have been a faithful Tracfone user for years, and this cell phone is going back to Walmart.

I love my new Motorola V170 cell phone but I have trouble hearing the caller, especially if I'm not in a quiet place. Is there any way to increase the volume of the incoming call? Also, although the phone is user friendly, the accompanying book is not. It often skips steps.
